ASIS Kicks Off Next Week In Dallas

Dallas has it all -- world-class restaurants, a vibrant social scene, an incredible urban arts district, and is home to Security Products. This year, our city will host ASIS 2010, and it’s going to be a spectacular show.

In addition to visiting with industry colleagues once again and seeing what innovative and cutting-edge products they’ll be showcasing, I’m especially excited about the keynotes this year: Chesley B. Sullenberger, captain of “Miracle on the Hudson,” and President Pervez Musharraf, former president of Pakistan.

Sullenberger famously landed US Airways Flight 1549 safely in the Hudson River in New York City on January 15, 2009 after the plane hit a flock of birds, disabling both engines. He saved the lives of all 155 people on the aircraft. It will be a thrill and honor to hear him speak.

Musharraf served as the 10th president of Pakistan, from 2001 to 2008. After Sept. 11, he aligned himself and his country with the United States and became one of our strongest allies against the war on terror. He speaks on Law Enforcement/Military Appreciation Day -- October 14 -- and active law enforcement and military personnel are invited to attend this keynote and Thursday’s sessions and the exhibition hall at no charge. Government or military ID is required.

With the projected 20,000 attendants, more than 160 dynamic sessions and countless new products and services, ASIS doesn’t disappoint. And neither does Dallas. We do things big here, which makes it the perfect city to host one of the most exciting security shows in the industry.

Safe travels and I’ll see you at the show!

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.” 3
